To sum this up, it looks like DNA damage can cause the redistribution of a chromatin modifier,
SIRT1, which is needed for efficient DNA repair but may cause (potentially harmful) changes
in gene expression as this response goes on with age...and maybe, maybe, by having increased
SIRT1 activity, we can get the DNA repair “benefit” without messing with gene expression too
much...so resveratrol may come into play after all!
